Heute ist „mein“ Tag im Poladarium — der erste von insgesamt zwei in diesem Jahr. Über das Bild habe ich auch schon mal hier im Blog geschrieben, und auf Flickr ist es hier zu finden.

Das Mütze-Schal-und-Handschuhe-Muster war eine Idee, die ich für den Geschenkpapier-Wettbewerb der FLOW hatte, aber dann nicht weiter verfolgt habe. Beim Mustermittwoch bei MüllerinArt geht’s diesen Monat um Textiles, und weil’s so schön zum Thema passt, hab ich meine digitalen Strickwaren dann doch noch in ein richtiges Muster verwandelt.
Earlier this month, FLOW magazine was looking for gift wrap designs, and this pattern with gloves, scarves and hats was one of my first ideas. I put it aside after the initial sketch though. But since this months‘ theme for Pattern Wednesday at MüllerinArt is „textiles“ I went back to it and turned it into a proper repeat pattern.
Ich bin ja ein bisschen verliebt in die RoidWeek, das ist ja kein Geheimnis, und die vergangene Woche hat wieder dazu beigetragen. Es war toll! Meine Beiträge (siehe oben) habe ich wieder in einem Album zusammengefasst, die Fotos von allen Teilnehmern sind in der RoidWeek Flickr-Gruppe zu bewundern. Und das beste: die nächste RoidWeek findet vom 18. bis 26. April 2016 statt — diesmal eine volle Woche und nicht nur 5 Tage, wie bisher.
It’s no secret — I’m a big fan of RoidWeek. And last week was just as great as I’d expected. I put all my photos (see above) in an album, and the entire group’s photo pool is here on Flickr. And the great news: next RoidWeek will be April 18-26 — that’s an entire week, and not just 5 days.
Schon wieder RoidWeek — die Herbst-Woche geht morgen los. Ich bin natürlich wieder dabei, denn die RoidWeek ist (mit der HolgaWeek) für mich die beste Zeit auf Flickr. Der Foto-Pool ist der gleiche wie im Frühling, schaut vorbei!
It’s RoidWeek again — the autumn edition starst tomorrow. And of course I’m in, because for me RoidWeek (along with HolgaWeek) is my favourite time on Flickr. The Photo-Pool is still the same as the one for the spring edition, come have a look!
„Zöppken“ ist im Solinger Platt die Bezeichnung für ein kleines Küchenmesser. Und das wiederum ist Namensgeber für den größten Flohmarkt der Stadt, der nächstes Wochenende stattfindet: der Zöppkesmarkt. Und wie’s der Zufall so will, sind Küchen-Muster beim Mustermittwoch bei MüllerinArt diesen Monat sehr gefragt. Und das glitzer-Gold konnte ich auch endlich mal ausprobieren.
„Zöppken“ is the local dialect word for a small kitchen knife, which is also the reason why the biggest fleamarket in town is called „Zöppkesmarkt“ — it takes place next weekend. I found it quite a coincidence that „kitchen“ is this months‘ theme for Pattern Wednesday at MüllerinArt. And I’ve been looking for an opportunity to give the gold glitter a try for a while now.

Ich bin ein bisschen aufgeregt, denn ab nächsten Samstag sind einige meiner Fotos im Rahmen der FotoKunst Gruppenausstellung des City Art Projects zu sehen, und würde mich natürlich über Besucher freuen!
Die Ausstellung läuft vom 29.08. bis zum 24.10. und ist immer freitags von 17:30-20:30 Uhr und samstags von 11:00 bis 15:00 Uhr geöffnet. Die Vernissage ist am 29.08. um 12:00 Uhr.

Ich mag gerade Muster. Und Augen. Und weil heute Mittwoch ist, passt das wunderbar zum Mustermittwoch bei MüllerinArt (zum ersten Mal für mich — Premiere!). Alle drei Muster sind ähnlich, aber ein bisschen anders, nicht nur in den Farben, und lassen sich nahtlos bis ins unendliche wiederholen… wenn man sie denn lässt.
Right now I like patterns. And eyes. And because it’s wednesday today, this is a perfect match for today’s Pattern Wednesday at MüllerinArt (my first one!). And although the three of them are slightly different (not just in colour), all three will repeat seamlessly until eternity… if you let them.
Eis ist ja immer gut — ich hatte zuerst ein paar Muster gemacht, aber warum nicht auch einfach so als Print an der Wand?

Die Frühlings-Ausgabe der ‚RoidWeek 2015 ist schon vor einer Woche zu Ende gegangen, die Zeit danach braucht man dann aber auch, um alle Fotos im Flickr-Pool anzusehen: es sind 2326. Ich kann das auf jeden Fall nur empfehlen, denn dieses Mal waren besonders viele tolle Fotos dabei.
Meine Fotos (siehe oben) habe ich in einem Album gesammelt. Der Auswahl fehlt ein Thema oder inhaltlicher Bezug… Ich hätte genug (gute) Fotos gehabt, um die ganze Woche mit Medienhafenbildern zu füllen, aber ich muss gestehen: ich kann’s gerade selbst nicht mehr sehen, es ist Zeit für was anderes. Die nächste ‚RoidWeek startet am 1. Oktober 2015, bis dahin gibt es noch genug Gelegenheiten für neue Fotos. Und der Kühlschrank ist auch wieder gut gefüllt.
The pool for the spring edition of ‚RoidWeek 2015 closed over a week ago already, but you definitely need a couple of days to look through all the 2,326 submissions in the flickr pool. And I really recommend looking at all of them. There were so many great photos this time!
I collected all of my photos in an album. But as you can see above, my selection is missing a theme… Originally I was going to post just photos I’d taken at the Medienhafen Düsseldorf (I’ve surely taken enough, and also enough good ones) but in the end I decided against it. To be honest, I’ve taken so many photos there already, I just can’t see it anymore. It’s time to move on. The next ‚RoidWeek will start on October 1st, 2015 — still enough time for me to come up with new ideas. And the fridge is already filled with film again.
Den letzten der Reihe hätte ich fast vergessen: den Florianturm im Westfalenpark in Dortmund. Die Aussichtsplattform oben drauf ist offen, das ist einerseits wahnsinnig aufregend (und windig!), andererseits super zum fotografieren, weil keine spiegelnden Glasscheiben im Weg sind. Und die Flamingos… die sind nicht immer da, aber manchmal ;)
I almost forgot to share the last one of the series: the Florian Tower in Dortmund. The visitors‘ platform on top is actually really just an open platform, which is both a bit nerve-racking (and windy), but also really great for taking photos, because there are no reflecting windows in the way. And there are flamigos in the park… sometimes ;)
